Cincinnati Zoo Visit

These are some animals of which I didn’t get a lot of photos, so they don’t really need their own blog post.

Cincinnati Zoo Visit

I was lucky enough to go to the Cincinnati Zoo on February 2nd, 2025, when my mom was visiting me down here from Alaska. It was her, me, my fiance Nick, and a surprising variety of animals to see despite it being a cool February afternoon.

While at the Cincinnat Zoo, we saw:

Mexican Wolves at the Cincinnati Zoo
I was very excited to see these Mexican Wolves at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden on February 2nd, 2025. I went with my mother that was visiting me from Alaska, and with my fiance Nick. Mexican Wolves are the most endangered subspecies of wolves. They originate from Arizona, New Mexico,
Malayan Tiger at the Cincinnati Zoo
We got to see this very vocal Malayan Tiger at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. I visited the zoo on February 2nd, 2025, with my mother and with my fiance. While at the Cincinnati Zoo, we also saw a Snow Leopard and more.

Snow Leopard at the Cincinnati Zoo
It was a treat to see this Snow Leopard eating a nice snack. All though the leopard kept their back to us for the most part, every so often, something would disturb them, and they would turn and give this positively lethal look over their shoulder.

A Couple Cincinnati Zoo Felines
Cougars Pallas Cat This was lovely to see! The Pallas Cat exhibit in the Night Hunters section was closed off, but there was this charming grump in an outdoor area.

Amphibians at the Cincinnati Zoo

Birds at the Cincinnati Zoo
Red-tailed hawk Bald eagles I will tell the truth. My mom and I, both Alaskans, were flabbergasted to encounter Bald Eagles first thing at the Cincinnati Zoo. First off, it was only passing minor incredulity because they are not exotic where we are from. However, we definitely became quite concerned

Now, as for this post, these are some animals of which I didn’t get a lot of photos, so they don’t really need their own blog post.

Black and White Colobus Monkey

Western Lowland Gorilla

Red Panda

No sooner did we arrive, did the adorable Red Panda take an exit stage left.

Elephant

We only saw the elephants from a distance, arriving just as they put them back into their indoor dwelling.

It was amusing to see the residential housing in the background of an elephant.

Orb Weaver Spider

I did not attempt much of any photos in the insect area, as my aging Canon EOS 7D does not do super great in low light, but this one picture of an Orb Weaver turned out all right. The others were definite duds.
